The Challenge

In my 20s, I was privileged to hold leadership positions in two of the most respected high-performance cultures; NZ rugby and UK Special Forces. But I received no prior leadership training.In the early days, I sacrificed personal relationships, let fear and imposter syndrome rule decision making, and thought I had to have all the answers to be respected.But, through rapid self-reflection, I quickly up-skilled myself into the leader I needed to be. All without sacrificing my own wellbeing.Within the space of a year, I helped our team break records within NZ rugby.Two years later, I helped set up and lead a pioneering culture-change program within UK Special Forces. Developing and testing my leadership skills alongside some of the most respected out there.Alongside this, I spent the last decade building relationships with many of the world's most successful teams. Including the Navy Seals, Red Bull, Cirque Du Soleil, Google, Team GB, UFC, and the All Blacks.As a result, I began to understand the universal principles underpinning these teams. But most importantly, how success was purely down to applying these principles within the context of your environment.I now help ambitious leaders build a high quality of life and high-performing teams.
